Oshkosh 2011 is quickly approaching!\u00c2\u00a0 The dates for EAA AirVenture Oshkosh this year are July 25-31.\u00c2\u00a0 Opening day has a number of things to look forward to, including the afternoon airshow and Opening Day concert featuring REO Speedwagon.\u00c2\u00a0 Full schedule of events and highlights for each day can be found at the AirVenture website by clicking here<\/strong><\/span><\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 For those of you who are not familiar with Oshkosh, it’s the World’s Greatest Aviation Celebration. EAA\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s renowed annual Airventure Fly-in Convention showcases in one week what EAA is involved in throughout the year. At AirVenture, you will find a number of different aircraft at Oshkosh, including warbirds, vintage aircraft, homebuilts, ultralights, and more. There really is something for everyone at Oshkosh, regardless of your age or your interest in aviation.\u00c2\u00a0 Advance tickets for Oshkosh can be purchased now through the AirVenture website at this link<\/strong><\/span><\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 If you are driving to Oshkosh, you will want to note some construction information and directions at this page<\/strong><\/span><\/a> on the AirVenture website.<\/p>\n

There are a number of options for lodging while attending Oshkosh.\u00c2\u00a0 On-site camping is offered, along with dormitories.\u00c2\u00a0 EAA AirVenture’s website has some information here<\/strong><\/span><\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 If you are planning to stay at a hotel close to Oshkosh, you should plan on paying a premium-rate each night.\u00c2\u00a0 However, if you are willing to stay a further distance from the air show, below are a few hotels that are reasonably close to AirVenture and are less than $100\/night:<\/p>\n
