2024 Dues Reminder

Have you paid your 2024 dues? We ask all members, new and renewing, to please take a moment, click here and fill out our online form. This helps us keep our records up to date and ensure all of our current officers have the information they need. Chapter Breakfast — Saturday, February 17

Our next breakfast will be Saturday, February 17 at the Crete Airport (CEK) from 8 a.m. – 10 a.m. Everyone is invited to join us for some great food, plane talk, and camaraderie! Just bring your appetite and suggested $10 donation ($5 for kids).

We can always use a little more horsepower. Whether it’s setting up tables and chairs or making coffee, if you’re interested in helping out at a breakfast or two this year, reach out to any of the contacts on our Contacts Page.

February Meeting — Tuesday, February 6

Our next chapter meeting will be on Tuesday, February 6 at the Duncan Aviation Engine Shop (5000 NW 44th Street — Lincoln, NE) at 7 p.m. Program to feature Chris Stokes.

Chris Stokes is a long time Lincoln pilot, CFI, and aircraft owner. Chris owns a classic 1942 PT17 Stearman, is a part owner in a 1976 A36 Bonanza, and is working on restoring a Viet Nam era Cessna A-37 Dragonfly fighter jet. Chris recently retired from the USAF Reserve in 2022, and flew three combat tours in the F16 and A10 in Iraq and Afghanistan. He is a current Boeing 777 captain at United Airlines based in San Francisco. Chris was recently elected to the Lincoln Airport Authority last year and is a champion for general aviation. Chris is married and has seven children.

Newcomers and folks interested in joining our chapter are always welcome at our meetings.

As we enter into 2024, it’s time to renew your Chapter Membership. We are asking all members, new and renewing, to please click here and fill out the online form. Upon completing the form, please mail your $25 payment to our Chapter Secretary. Checks should be made payable to EAA Chapter 569.

January Breakfast Cancelled

Due to the consistently frigid temperatures forecasted through next weekend, we have made the decision to cancel our January breakfast. We will try again on February 17.

Our first Chapter Meeting of 2024 will be Tuesday, January 2. Program to feature ~~Chris Stokes~~ Bruce Mundie. He will discuss the EAA 80 OakView Mall location and his building projects.
