AirVenture 2015 is quickly approaching and it’s not too early to start planning your experience. We’re less than four months away from the world’s greatest aviation celebration which will take place July 20-26, 2015. You can learn more about AirVenture on this page on our website. Advanced ticket sales have already begun for EAA Members and general public as well. A number of Chapter 569 members have been attending this extraordinary event for many years. Tom Henry usually volunteers his time at the repair barn and you can often times find Dennis Crispin at campground registration in the 101 Woods area in Camp Scholler.

If you’re new to EAA and AirVenture, you can take a few minutes and look through Chapter 569 members’ photos from AirVenture in past years. Click the following links to view the albums for each year: AirVenture 2013; AirVenture 2012; AirVenture 2011; AirVenture 2010.

Spring Webinars

EAA is offering a number of Webinars (online seminars) this spring. There is limited space, so it’s important to register ahead of time for them. Some of the topics include annual inspections, EAA AirVenture Oshkosh, warranties, engine teardowns, shopping for and buying a light-sport aircraft, among others . Some of the topics qualify for FAA AMT and/or Wings Credit. Additional information and registration details can be found here.

EAA SportAir Workshop in KC

If you are building an aircraft or thinking about building one, you may be interested in attending a homebuilding workshop in Kansas City.  The two-day workshop takes place April 18-19 and there are a variety of courses available, such as composite construction, fabric covering sheet metal, and the fundamentals of aircraft building. Pre-registration is required. For more information about the different courses available and registering, click here.
