Come join us for breakfast on Saturday, February 15 at the Crete Airport (CEK). Our monthly Chapter Breakfast includes pancakes, omelets, plane talk, and more from 8 a.m. – 10 a.m. Of course, it’s all you can eat for a bargain price of a $4 donation!

Volunteers are part of what make the breakfast possible each month. If you are interested in helping out with the breakfasts, even just occasionally, please call Andy Lahr at 402-840-5235. Thank you!

Chapter Member Chambers featured in Journal Star

Check out the following two articles from the Lincoln Journal Star on Chapter 569 member Robert Chambers, who is a cartoonist for Kitplanes and has a passion for drawing cartoons. You will need to mail the form, along with your $20 payment, to our Chapter Treasurer. Our Chapter Treasurer’s information for 2014 is listed below:

Having all members fill out the form each year helps ensure we have accurate information for everyone, and also allows for the information to be sent to all the officers. If you have any questions, please email webmaster@eaa569.org.

Online Directory Reminder

We have had our Online Member Directory for two years now, and we have received a very favorable response from the majority of our members. The Online Member Directory has helped our chapter “be green”, since it eliminates the need to print a paper directory for everyone, and allows members to access information about other members from anywhere with an internet connection. Since the directory was first created, we have made many improvements to it that make it easier to use. We’ve had many of our members login, fill in their information, and utilize the new directory. We still have a handful of members that have not logged in to the new directory and have yet to update their information. Logging in and filling out your information takes only a few minutes, and allows other members know how to get into contact with you. Furthermore, with the online directory, you can update your information at anytime, so if you get a new address, phone number, email address, or other contact information changes, you can update it yourself at anytime. Additionally, you can provide information about your aviation experiences, projects, and expertise. The online directory is only accessible by Chapter 569 members, so all information is secure that is stored in the directory.

How to Login to the Directory

1. Go to the Chapter 569 Member Directory at http://eaa569.org/directory.

2. Click on “Login” on the blue bar near the top. Your login information should have been emailed to you when the directory was first made (or when you first became a member), but if you don’t know what it is, just click here. We will send your login information to your email address; it may take up to 12 hours.

3. Once you are logged in, click on “Edit/Update Your Profile”. You can fill out your contact information and other aviation information. You can also update your password to something easier to remember. Be sure to click on “Update” at the bottom of the page to save the changes to your profile.

4. Upon logging in, you have the ability to view other members’ profiles. You must be logged in to view other members’ profiles. Profiles can be viewed on the main directory page at http://eaa569.org/directory. Click on a member’s name to view their profile; if you are not logged in, it will prompt you to go to the login page.

If you have questions, comments, concerns, or need help with the directory, there is a guide that can be accessed if you click here. We also encourage you to contact webmaster@eaa569.org and we will be happy to help!

Winter Webinars

Throughout January and February, EAA will be hosting some interesting Webinars, also known as web seminars. They are live multimedia presentations, designed to allow audience members to ask questions and participate in polls. Webinars incorporate audio and slides, making it informative and interactive. Registration is required, and space is limited. Some of the Webinars qualify for credit in the FAA’s WINGS or AMT awards program. For a listing of upcoming Webinars, and to register for them, click here.
