Chapter Breakfast — Saturday, August 8

Our next Chapter Breakfast will be Saturday, August 8. A reminder that we are moving our monthly fly-in breakfast from the 3rd Saturday of the month to the 2nd Saturday for this year to avoid conflicts with some other events happening this summer.

Join us from 8 a.m. – 10 a.m. at the Wahoo Airport for a morning of great food and plane talk. Suggested donation: $10 for adults; $5 for kids

No August Meeting

There will be no Chapter Meeting in the month of August.

2026 Defenders of Freedom — August 8-9

The Defenders of Freedom Air & Space Show will take place at Offutt AFB on August 8–9, 2026. This family-friendly event will feature aerial performances, military aircraft displays, and the return of on-base parking. A complimentary base pass per vehicle is required and must be secured online. Admission is FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. Optional premium seating available at defendersoffreedomairshow.com. Vermillion Breakfast — Sunday, September 13

There will be a fly-in breakfast from 8:00am – 12:00pm at Vermillion (VMR), SD on Sunday, September 13. Free-will donation to Lions Club for breakfast – fundraiser for the Main Street Center in Vermillion.

Hartington Breakfast — Sunday, August 16

There will be a fly-in breakast on Sunday, August 16 from 8:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at Hartington (0B4), NE. “BEST sausages in a 100 miles.”

Benefits from breakfast go to Holy Trinity Elementary School. PIC & co-pilot FREE, 5th Grade to adult $8.00, 5 years old to 4th Grade $6.00, 4 years old and under free. Served by Holy Trinity Grade School. Sponsored by Becker Flying Service.

Featuring a variety of pilots and airplanes, LifeNet Helicopter, Moonwalk Bounce House, Antique Tractor, Hartington Volunteer Fire Department Firetrucks, Hartington Ambulance.

Hastings Hamburger Fly-In — Saturday, August 29

Rain or shine, the Hastings Airport (KHSI) will be hosting a fly-in hamburger lunch on Saturday, August 29 from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. Free will donation.
