There aren’t too many aviation events going on this time of the year, but there are a couple of things to do. We’d like to encourage all of our members (who haven’t already) to take a few minutes to fill out their Member Profile. When you create your Member Profile, members can click on your name on the Members List and view more information about you and your aviation experiences. Click here to go to the Members Section of the site and then click on the link at the top of the page to create your profile.
We also encourage everyone to sign up on our Chapter Forum. If you post on any other forums, the EAA 569 Forums are probably very similar to them. They’re a great way to share ideas and have other people discuss their thoughts. Once you start posting, the forums are fairly simple and easy to use. Click on “Forum” on the blue sidebar or go to eaa569.org/forums/ . If you’ve already created an account, click on login on the right hand side near the top. Type in your username and password. If you need to create a new account, click on Register just to the left of Login on the right hand side near the top. Confirm your birth date, agree to the terms, and then you will need to select a username. The username can be whatever you want, however make sure you type in a valid email address. Choose a password that is easy for you to remember, but isn’t too simple for someone to guess. Click on “Submit”, and then you are signed up on the forum! However, for website security purposes and to ensure that spam doesn’t get posted on the forums, you will need to wait a few hours before using your account, because your account needs to be manually activated. It shouldn’t take more than 12 hours. After your account is confirmed, you can begin posting on the forum. You can create new threads about things you want members to discuss or you can reply to already existing ones. The success of a forum really depends on the members… the more members there are, the more useful it is and the more discussion there is. It would be great to see our forum get some more use.
