October Meeting — Tuesday, October 7

Our next meeting is Tuesday, October 7. The program will feature our very own Buddy Smith. He will be speaking on some of his experiences. Buddy is a former fighter pilot, having logged many hours in an F-4. Our meeting will be at the Duncan Aviation Engine Shop (5000 NW 44th Street — Lincoln, NE) and will begin at 7:30 p.m.

AOPA Safety Seminar — Wednesday, October 8

If you’re interested in brushing up on some of your safety skills, AOPA is hosting a free seminar on weather safety. The seminar will take place on Wednesday, October 8 at Bellevue West High School (1501 Thurston Avenue — Bellevue, NE 68123).  The seminar will be from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. in the main cafeteria.  The seminar is free and no RSVP is required. York Breakfast — Saturday, October 4

EAA Chapter 1055’s fly-in breakfast is on Saturday, October 4! It takes place from 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. at the York Airport. Free will donation.

Yankton Breakfast — Sunday, September 21

There will be a fly-in, drive-in, walk-in, dragged-in airport breakfast at Chan Gurney Airport (YKN) in Yankton, SD from 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 21. PIC eat FREE, adults $5.00, kids 5-10 $2.00, and kids under 5 eat free. The breakfast is sponsored by Yankton Regional Aviation Association, Crop Dusters LLC, and HyVee. Chapter Breakfast — Saturday, September 20

The next Chapter Breakfast is Saturday, September 20 at the Crete Airport (CEK) from 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.  Come out for great food and plane talk! All you can eat at a suggested $4 donation!

We are in need volunteers to help with the breakfasts each month.  Even if you are only able to help occasionally, it would be appreciated as there are a number of things we can use help with. If you’re interested in helping out, please contact Andy at 402-840-5235 or via email.
