October Meeting — Tuesday, October 2

Our next Chapter Meeting will be on Tuesday, October 2 at the Duncan Aviation Engine Shop (5000 NW 44th Street — Lincoln, NE) . The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. and our program will feature our own Chapter 569 member Diane Bartels.

Zenith Open Hangar Day — Saturday, September 22

Zenith Aircraft Company is hosting an Open Hangar Day & Fly-In Gathering on Saturday, September 22 to celebrate their 20th anniversary. It will take place from 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. down in Mexico, Missouri. It will be an informal gathering of Zenith builders and flyers and enthusiasts. There will be some hands-on workshops, a BBQ lunch, and more. Starting Friday afternoon (the 21st), they will be hosting seminars on avionics, engine installations, and more. Please RSVP for workshops or if you would like to attend the banquet taking place on Friday night. Fly-ins and drive-ins are welcome and will help to make this a fun and educational event! Bloomfield Breakfast — Saturday, September 22

There will be an airport breakfast on Saturday, September 22 at Bloomfield (84Y), NE. It will take place from 8:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m. Fly-ins eat free, adults $5.00, kids 5-10 $2.00, kids under 5 eat free. Fly-Out to Beaumont, KS on Saturday

Matt Olson is organizing a fly-out to Beaumont, Kansas this Saturday, September 15 for lunch. His plane is full for the trip already. The website is www.beaumonthotelks.com for airport info and more. They are leaving from BIE at about 10:00 on Saturday morning. Beaumont is a little town just south of us in Kansas that has a grass strip and a hotel restaurant.
