UNO Student Fly-In Breakfast — April 14

There will be a fly-in breakfast for the general public at the Council Bluffs Airport on Saturday, April 14th. Proceeds from the breakfast will be used to help aviation students attend the AAAE Annual Conference in Phoenix at the end of April. Collegiate Aviation Industry Professionals is an AAAE student affiliated organization at the University of Nebraska Omaha. They are a group of aviation students who share a common interest in becoming aviation professionals. In case of inclement weather, the breakfast will be held a week later on April 21st. For more information on the breakfast, contact Tad at 308-340-2190 or the Council Bluffs Airport at 712-323-2173.

April Meeting — Tuesday, April 3

The next Chapter Meeting will be on Tuesday, April 3rd. Our program will feature Frank Cuba, who is the owner of Litewings. He has been making a living in aviation with emphasis on the light sport aspect, but also buying and selling a lot of airplanes, with an emphasis on RVs. He is a designated pilot examiner for sport pilot.   We have arranged for Chapter 569 member Butch Lottman to do a presentation on his experiences and light sport aviation, as we learned our original guest speaker is not going to be able to make it. The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. and will be at the Duncan Aviation Engine Shop (5000 NW 44th Street — Lincoln, NE).

Dues, Directory List Updated

Thank you to all of our members who have paid their dues so far for 2012. Here’s how it works: If you have filled out the registration/renewal form AND sent your money to our treasurer (Matt Olson), your name will have a checkmark on this list. If you still need to pay your 2012 dues, you can take care of that by clicking here. The list is current as of 3/8/2012.

On that same list, we are keeping track of members who have filled out at least some of their contact information in our online directory system. The directory can be found at http://eaa569.org/directory. Chapter 569 Members should have received an email with their login information, but if you are a Chapter 569 member and did not receive a username and password, click here. You need to login to view members’ profiles, and to fill out the information on your own profile. The chapter will save a lot of money if we just use the online directory and do not print out a directory for every member. Click here to read more about the new directory.

If you have any questions about dues or the directory, send an email to webmaster@eaa569.org.
