Yankton Breakfast — Sunday, September 18

There will be a fly-in, drive-in, walk-in, dragged-in airport breakfast (always the 3rd Sunday in September) at Chan Gurney Airport (YKN), Yankton, SD on Sunday, September 18. It will take place from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. PIC eat free, adults $5.00; kids 5-10 $3.00; under 5 free. Sponsored by Yankton Regional Aviation Association and Crop Dusters LLC. Let’s pack the hangar for our next Chapter Breakfast on Saturday, September 17. It all takes place at the Crete Airport from 8 a.m. – 10 a.m. Whether you fly-in or drive-in, we look forward to having you join us for another morning of hotcakes and camaraderie. Bring your friends and family!

Chapter Picnic — Sunday, September 11

Our annual Chapter Picnic will be Sunday, September 11 at Shoemaker Field. The address is 11215 W Yankee Hill Rd – Denton, NE (see directions below). Fly-ins, be sure to use CTAF 122.9. Plan to arrive at 4 p.m.; we will eat around 5 p.m.

The picnic will take the place of the September meeting. Entertainment will include Oshkosh stories and pictures. This will be a pot luck affair.

Directions to the hangar at Shoemaker Airfield: From Denton Rd, south on SW 98th St then west on Yankee Hill Rd. Look for trains before crossing the tracks! Turn south at the Shoemaker Airfield sign and follow the long driveway to the “snazzy” hangar. Please be cautious if using a GPS; the address changed last year, and Google Maps incorrectly lists Shoemaker Airfield as being in Lincoln — it is in Denton.

KCBF Breakfast — Saturday, September 10

The CAF Great Plains Wing Fall Breakfast will take place at the Council Bluffs Airport (KCBF) on Saturday, September 10 from 8 a.m. -11 a.m. Pilots eat free. Contact Jeff at 402-981-4633 for more information.

Pawnee City Breakfast — Saturday, Sept. 10

Pawnee City (50K) is hosting a Fly-in, Drive-in breakfast on Saturday, September 10. There will also be a car show. It will take place from 7 a.m. – 11 a.m. Free Will offering. There will be a flour drop
