Chapter Breakfast — Saturday, October 19

Our next Chapter Breakfast is Saturday, October 19th at the Crete Airport (CEK) from 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.  Everyone is invited to join us for some great food, plane talk, and camaraderie — all you can eat! Just bring your appetite and a $4 donation!

And those pancakes and omelets don’t cook themselves! We’re always looking for volunteers to help with the breakfast, even if it’s just occasionally. There are a number of things we can use help with, not just cooking. If you’re interested in helping out, please call Andy Lahr at 402-840-5235. Thank you!

Fall Webinars

EAA has a number of free Webinars (web seminars) coming up this month and next. Topics include learning to fly, flying efficiently, flying to the Caribbean, modern flight performance tools, preparing for your checkride, and much more. There is limited space, so it’s important to register ahead of time for them. Click here for more information and registration details. Audio speakers and a broadband Internet connection are required to participate in the Webinars.

October Meeting — Tuesday, October 1

Our next Chapter Meeting will be Tuesday, October 1. Program to feature Major General Roger P. Lempke, who is a retired United States Air Force officer and was the Adjutant General of the Nebraska National Guard. Our meeting will be at the Duncan Aviation Engine Shop (5000 NW 44th Street — Lincoln, NE) and will begin at 7:30 p.m.

2014 Officer Elections

As Cristi discussed in our September Newsletter, election for 2014 officers is coming up in November. Volunteers are a part of what make Chapter 569 a great group to be a part of, so we are always looking for officer nominations. If there is a position that interests you, consider nominating yourself. You can also nominate another member if there is a position you think they would do well at. Our 2013 Officers have done an outstanding job and some of them may run again.

We’re also always looking for volunteers to help run the monthly Chapter Breakfasts. If you are interested in helping out with the breakfasts, even just occasionally, please call Andy Lahr at 402-840-5235. There are a number of different things we can use help with.
