June Meeting — Tuesday, June 5th

The next Chapter Meeting will be on Tuesday, June 5th. The program will feature Michael Sibbernsen. Michael is the Science & Technology Coordinator, NASA Solar System Ambassador for the Strategic Air & Space Museum at Ashland, Nebraska. Michael will do a presentation on High Altitude Ballooning. He will cover the equipment used and discuss FAA guidelines that he has to work within. He will have videos as well as photos from close to space. Please bring a young student with you as this will be a very good learning experience that can be related to in their school science studies. The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. and will be at the Duncan Aviation Engine Shop (5000 NW 44th Street — Lincoln, NE).

Central City Breakfast — Sunday, June 3

Central City Airport, 07K, is hosting a Fly-In Breakfast on Sunday, June 3rd. The breakfast is all you can eat, and includes pancakes, sausage, eggs, coffee, and juice. Fly-ins eat free, drive-ins cost just $6.00. It will take place from 6:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. and will be served by St. Michaels Knights of Columbus Council #10386. Parachute jumps will take place at 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., with war birds and general aviation also on display. Following the breakfast, lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Council Bluffs Breakfast — Saturday, June 2

Council Bluffs will be hosting a fly-in breakfast on Saturday, June 2 from 8:00 to 11:00. It will take place at the Council Bluffs Municipal Airport (KCBF) and pilots in command eat free. For more information, contact Jeff at 402-981-4633.

York Breakfast — Saturday, June 2

Don’t forget about the EAA Chapter 1055 fly-in breakfast Saturday, June 2nd from 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. at the York Airport. Free will donation.
